Dogs and Dog Rescue
Dogs. Man's best friend. Who can live without them? Certainly not me! Dogs and dog rescue are two top passions of mine.
Our Dogs
We have two rescue dogs, Jameson and November, and both came to us in 2012. Jameson seems to me a terrier/sighthound mix. He definitely has terrier qualities physically and personality-wise, but he also has the thin legs and deep chest common in sighthounds such as greyhounds.
November is probably a Shih Tzu/Poodle mix; Google image searches for this mix look a lot like our November. She came to us through Sheltered Paws Dog Rescue in November 2012 at about three years old.

Sheltered Paws Dog Rescue
Sheltered Paws Dog Rescue is my favorite charity! We have fostered two dogs—one we converted into a permament part of our family—and I'm proud to serve with these fine people. Sheltered Paws Dog Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping save shelter dogs by placing them in loving forever homes or in temporary, loving foster homes to get them ready for adoption.
We focus on moms and babies, long-time residents of the shelter, and dogs with special needs. We often purchase for the shelter heartworm medicine that helps prevent euthanization of otherwise healthy dogs, and we also promote shelter dog health through buying things not in budget (like special healthy treats).
